Nien-ying Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at Fu Jen Catholic University, Taiwan. Her research focuses on film sound and music, with a particular emphasis on Chinese-language cinemas. She has published on the work of Taiwanese film composer Lim Giong and his collaborations with directors Hou Hsiao-hsien and Jia Zhangke. Her current project explores the circulation of film stars in Cold War-era Asian cinemas.
