Eliana Ritts

Eliana Ritts is a Fulbright Scholar and a PhD candidate in anthropology at New York University. She is currently writing her dissertation on representation, media, and Indigenous sovereignty in Taiwan, with a focus on Taiwan Indigenous Television. In addition to her written scholarship, she is also involved in film festivals and production. In 2021 she served on the selection committee for the Taiwan International Ethnographic Film Festival, and in 2019 she directed Tea for Taiwan, a short documentary that examines the relationships between bubble tea, Taiwanese self-determination, and intergenerational activism in New York City. The film premiered at the Margaret Mead Documentary Film Festival in New York.
